Strategic Approaches in Strategy Implementation and Performance of Kenya National Highways Authority

Many public sector agencies fail to attain their performance targets because of flaws in strategy implementation processes. There is no guarantee that the formulation and strategies automatically translate organizational success owing complex yet delicate nature strategic management. Thus, present study examined effect on Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), focusing leadership adoption, resource allocation, communication system, culture, structure as independent variables. The was anchored resource-based view theory, Edgar Schein Theory, systems upper echelons theory. A descriptive design used, target population included 187 top managers working indifferent departments at KeNHA. used stratified random sampling techniques select94 participants study. Closed-ended questionnaires were collect primary data from participants. Likert scale 1 5 evaluate participants' responses. means, standard deviations, aggregate means participants’ responses calculated presented tables. results indicated influenced KeNHA’s but varying extents. Strategic adoption had biggest performance. research concluded significantly positively impacted management KeNHA other road ought prioritize practices execution achieve better outcomes. findings exhort further aspects external environment
